WhatsApp is set to roll out an update for disappearing messages, offering users greater control and flexibility over their messages. The new update includes 15 additional durations, which users can choose from to set up their disappearing messages. The durations range from one year to just one hour, providing users with the ability to send messages that disappear quickly, ensuring that sensitive or confidential information is not stored on the recipient’s device for too long.
The feature was spotted during the development of WhatsApp Desktop beta, but it is planned to be released in a future update of the app for iOS and Android users. The new durations will be available under the “More options” menu when setting up disappearing messages, allowing users to choose a duration that suits their needs.
