WhatsApp is now testing a new version of message reactions for a future update of WhatsApp beta for Android after gradually giving out the feature to some fortunate Android beta testers!
When we first revealed that WhatsApp was developing the ability to reply to messages, we mentioned that there are six different emoticons users may select from Like, Love, Laugh, Suprised, Sad, and Thanks. WhatsApp is finally developing a new version that gives additional reactions for a future program update in response to certain users’ requests for more emojis to use as reactions!

In a future version, WhatsApp plans to add a new + button to the reply bar. By hitting the new plus button, the user will be able to respond to the message by selecting a different emoji. What fresh reactions will be offered? There is no information in the app that enables us to determine which new emoji set will be released, but if we look at Facebook Messenger and Instagram, we can select any emoji we like. It is likely that WhatsApp will allow us to do the same. We’ll keep you informed.
