After learning that WhatsApp is working on a business subscription plan, we can now provide further information about another feature for business accounts: the option to enhance your company profile by uploading a cover photo is now in development on WhatsApp Desktop beta!

In a future release of WhatsApp Desktop beta, you will be able to set up a custom cover photo when configuring your business profile. You may improve your company profile by adding a header image, and when consumers and other companies visit your profile, they will be able to see the cover photo. Because this is a commercial product, cover pictures cannot be created from normal WhatsApp accounts.

Unfortunately, the option to put up a cover photo is now only accessible on WhatsApp for iOS, but it is expected to be introduced on WhatsApp Desktop beta in the future. We will update this page whenever we receive more information regarding WhatsApp beta for Android and when it is available to business customers.
