Instagram is launching two new ad options, Reminder Ads and Promoted Search Results, to expand advertising options for brands on its platform. Reminder Ads will enable users to opt-in to receive alerts for specific events, providing three notifications before the start time. Brands can use this feature to promote upcoming events like live streams, TV shows, movie releases, and sporting events to increase engagement. Reminder Ads can be set up to three months in advance, and the event time will be displayed in local time equivalents. Promoted Search Results will connect brands with users based on contextual keywords when they tap into a specific post from search results. Instagram is rolling out Search Ads globally in the coming months. These new ad options provide brands with more ways to reach audiences in different mindsets and enhance their promotions in the app.
