- Message delivery: Message delivery to one-to-one and group chats is no longer available since they are not sent to the server. You can’t even send a new status update to your contacts, and you can’t send a message to a broadcast list. Messages deleted for everyone will be successfully restored when the service is restored.
- During the downtime, it is not able to make a voice or video call on WhatsApp. The call connections have ceased functioning.
- Registration: It is neither possible to create a new WhatsApp account, nor can you log in with an existing account.
- Linking new devices: Additional devices cannot be linked to an existing account.
- Contacts list: If you add a new phone number to your address book, you cannot refresh your contacts list to check who is using WhatsApp.
- Manage groups: When WhatsApp is unavailable, you cannot join or leave groups, nor can you create new ones. Furthermore, group admins cannot promote or demote other users or control their group invite links.
- You cannot change your profile information, such as your profile photo or about. During the downtime, you will be unable to alter your phone number.
- Update privacy settings: You cannot change your privacy settings for last seen, about, profile photo, who may add you to groups, or view receipts.
- You cannot toggle vanishing messages for your conversations and groups unless you update your chat settings.
- You cannot change group settings such as the group icon or name. You cannot alter group settings as an admin, such as who may send messages to the group or who can amend group information.
- Request account information: You cannot request your account information if WhatsApp is unavailable. If you had downloaded the old archive, you may still export it.
- Two-step verification: You are unable to enable two-step verification for your account.
- Backup of conversation history: You may be unable to back up your chat history on iCloud or Google Drive.
- WhatsApp Business API: It is not feasible to use WhatsApp Business API’s services
