Meta announced that soon, creators will be able to produce their digital artifacts on Instagram and sell them to fans there as well as elsewhere. They’ll have a whole toolkit, from creation to showcasing to selling. People may simply support their favorite creators by purchasing digital souvenirs from them directly on Instagram. We’re starting with a small group of creators in the United States and want to extend to more nations soon.

In addition to the blockchains and wallets that we now support, they are also expanding the types of digital collectibles that you can showcase on Instagram to include videos and adding support for the Solana blockchain and Phantom wallet. Additionally, information such as collection names and descriptions for select collections whose metadata has been updated by OpenSea will now be available on Instagram.
