Following the release of a new feature that allows certain users to modify their media auto-download settings on the desktop client, WhatsApp is now rolling out a blur tool for photographs to selected beta testers on WhatsApp Desktop beta!

With the blur tool, you may quickly and neatly remove sensitive information from your photographs. We also stated in June that a version of the blur was being developed for WhatsApp Desktop beta, and it is now being sent to certain beta testers!

On your photographs, you may utilize a blur tool. During the feature’s development, WhatsApp created two blur tools, allowing you to modify your photographs with a different blur effect. You may also customize the blur size to apply the effect with granular accuracy.
To see if the functionality is already activated for your account, submit an image: if the blur button appears, you may begin utilizing the new sketching tool. If you still do not have the blur tool after it was distributed to certain beta testers, you will need to wait for a future update since it will be handed out to more people in the coming weeks.
