WhatsApp is currently handing out status updates within the chat list to select users on the new WhatsApp Desktop upgrade, after providing the ability to make polls for everyone on the web/desktop client!
The ability to check status updates immediately within the conversation list. The same feature has also been made available to select users following the installation of the WhatsApp beta for the iOS 22.18.0.70 upgrade. Finally, after installing the current WhatsApp Desktop beta version, this is being sent out to even more people!
Check users who posted a status update under the status section and see whether a ring around the profile photo appears within the chat list to determine if the functionality is enabled for your WhatsApp account. If the functionality is not yet accessible for your account, simply keep your WhatsApp version up to date to receive it later.
Some users now have the option to read status updates within the chat list, and more people will have it in the coming weeks.
