WhatsApp has rolled out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.23.7.4. The update introduces a new toggle within the poll composer that allows the sender to limit the poll to only one choice. This feature is available for some beta testers, with plans to roll out to more users in the coming weeks.
The ability to limit polls to only one choice will help avoid confusion and ambiguity in certain situations where only one answer is required. The poll creator can limit other people in the conversation to a single choice when replying to a poll, and the poll results will become more accurate.
In addition to this new feature, the update also includes a fix for users who were experiencing a critical crash when opening WhatsApp. Some users reported that the crash was fixed thanks to a server-side update, but users who continue to experience the crash are advised to update WhatsApp by opening the Google Play Store.
