WhatsApp beta for Android now lets you log in with a 6-digit code from another device

Following the release of the companion mode, which allows users to log into WhatsApp from a separate mobile device, WhatsApp is now rolling out a new verification option that will allow select lucky beta testers to obtain the 6-digit code straight within WhatsApp beta for Android!

WhatsApp has just released another feature connected to the verification screen: the opportunity to obtain the 6-digit code from within WhatsApp!

Within the verification form, a new verification option appears, asking if you wish to get the code on your primary phone. If your account has the functionality enabled, the 6-digit code will be transmitted to your primary mobile. Even in this instance, WhatsApp recommends keeping your 6-digit code private because it functions similarly to a password. If you did not request the 6-digit code, simply dismiss the verification form.
Don’t be shocked if this function is still not enabled for your WhatsApp account: it appears to be going out to a very restricted number of beta users, so the deployment is not widespread.

The option to acquire the 6-digit code from within WhatsApp has been provided to certain lucky beta testers who installed the most recent build of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Play Store, and it will be rolled out to additional users in the coming weeks.
