WhatsApp for iOS now allows users to extract text from images

WhatsApp for iOS has released a new stable update, build number 23.5.77, which includes a feature that allows users to extract text from images. The feature was first made available to beta testers and is now being rolled out to all users who have installed the latest update. Users can access the feature by opening an image with text and selecting the new button that appears, which allows them to copy the text. However, it is important to note that the feature is only available on iOS 16, and is not compatible with the view once images.
This latest feature is part of WhatsApp’s ongoing effort to make the app more user-friendly and efficient. Previously, the company released a sticker-maker tool that allows users to create stickers directly within the app. With the ability to extract text from images, users can now easily copy and paste text without having to type it out manually.
As with all new features, WhatsApp typically releases them slowly, starting with a small group of beta testers before gradually making them available to more users over time. If you have an iOS device, make sure to update your WhatsApp app from the App Store to check if the feature is already enabled for your account
