WhatsApp continues to work on multi-device enhancements. Following the announcement that the firm is working on an updated version of multi-device, WhatsApp is currently working on a future update that will allow you to utilize your personal conversation on linked devices.
One feature that multi-device lacks is the ability to send messages to oneself from a connected device. Unfortunately, using multi-device, is no longer feasible since the conversation with their own phone number only appears on the primary device, but WhatsApp is finally working on a solution that will be released in a future version of WhatsApp Desktop beta:
In the future, when looking for contacts in WhatsApp Desktop beta, you will be able to send messages to yourself by tapping your personal chat. When the functionality is introduced to the public, this chat will also appear when you try to log into WhatsApp from a different mobile device.
This is one of the current multi-device version’s missing features, and more should be added in the future: the ability to clear or delete chats on linked devices if the primary device is an iPhone, the ability to view live location on linked devices, and the option to create and view broadcast lists on linked devices. Unfortunately, this feature is still in the works.
