WhatsApp is now allowing users to forward media with a caption.
Following the introduction of the ability to view profile icons within group chats, WhatsApp is now introducing a new feature that allows some beta testers to forward photographs, videos, GIFs, and documents with captions on WhatsApp Desktop beta!
This function allows you to maintain the caption of your photographs, videos, GIFs, and documents while forwarding them. After installing the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.23.0.72 update, the feature is also available on iOS beta, and it is finally available to some beta testers who install the current version of WhatsApp Desktop beta:
When you try to forward an image, video, GIF, or document with a caption, a new caption view appears. With the new caption view, you can quickly determine whether the caption will be linked to the new message when it is forwarded to the chats you specify in this area. Furthermore, you have control over forwarding the material because you may delete the caption by hitting the dismiss button. If the feature is not yet available for your WhatsApp account, please wait for a future update in which the feature will be made available to a larger number of users.
After receiving the WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2245.5 upgrade, certain beta testers now have the option to forward media with a caption.
