Following the announcement of the ability to retrieve deleted messages in the most recent WhatsApp beta for iOS update, WhatsApp is now launching a feature that allows group managers to remove any message for everyone, and it is finally accessible to select fortunate iOS beta testers!
If you want to check if the function is accessible quickly, simply remove any recent message from a group in which you are an admin: if “delete for everyone” appears when you try to delete a message sent by another member, it implies the option is available for your account! This is a critical feature for group administrators since it allows them to better control their WhatsApp groups.
When a message is erased for everyone in the group, all other group members may see that it was deleted by a specific group admin.
Assume the functionality is not accessible for your account. In that case, don’t worry: the function has just been pushed out to a few lucky beta testers, so it will take some time until it reaches all other accounts. If you are a group administrator and are unable to remove messages received by other members, please wait for a future update since additional activations will occur in the coming weeks.
