WhatsApp is working on retaining messages in disappearing chats

Vanishing messages allow us to communicate more quietly, however you may send a critical message when the disappearing mode is on and wish to preserve it to read later. In this situation, WhatsApp is creating saved messages for a future WhatsApp beta version for Android, iOS, and Desktop! When users share a critical message in a vanishing conversation and do not want to lose it, they will be able to save it by preventing its expiration through kept messages: in other words, you can prevent some disappearing messages from disappearing in a future version of WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is planning to introduce a new section right within Contact Info and Group Info that lists all kept messages, so they can be easily read later: because everyone in the chat can choose to un-keep those messages, WhatsApp is now planning to make them easier to find, so they are developing this section.
WhatsApp is also working on new techniques to recognize saved messages, which we will discuss in the future. Unfortunately, we do not know when this feature will be ready because it is still in development. When further information regarding the stored communications becomes available, this website will undoubtedly publish a story.
