WhatsApp, the popular messaging app owned by Meta, is working on a new feature allowing users to send video messages to their contacts. The quality, currently under development for the iOS version of the app, will let users record and send short videos up to 60 seconds in length. The video messages will work similarly to voice notes, but with the added benefit of capturing and sharing video content.
This new feature has several potential advantages. Video messages can help to convey emotions and expressions better than a voice message or text alone. They can also be more useful in cases where a visual demonstration is necessary, such as when showing someone how to use a new product. Additionally, the feature will be end-to-end encrypted, providing added privacy to users.
It is not yet clear when the feature will be officially released, but it will surely be a welcome addition for WhatsApp users. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
