WhatsApp is set to release a new feature that will allow users to schedule group calls in advance. The feature, currently under development, is expected to streamline group communication and collaboration by eliminating missed or delayed calls. The feature will be compatible with both audio and video calls, making it easier for users to organize meetings and events with their groups.
Once the feature is enabled for a user’s account, they will be able to access a new context menu that introduces a scheduling option. Users can choose when the group call starts, assign a name to the scheduled call, and all group members will be notified when the call starts. This will allow members to prepare accordingly and reduce the need for additional reminders.
WhatsApp has not yet announced a release date for this feature, but it is expected to be included in a future update of the app. As always, WhatsApp users can expect further details to be shared in upcoming articles.
