Testing of the edit button has begun

Twitter revealed on September 1 that it has begun actively testing the ‘edit button,’ months after disclosing that it was working on it.

Twitter just implemented an edit button that allows you to alter your tweets five times in 30 minutes. Currently, the editing capability is only available to Twitter Blue subscribers. Not all tweets can be modified, and people may view all versions of your tweet.

Twitter revealed on September 1 that it has begun actively testing the ‘edit button,’ months after disclosing that it was working on it.

“If you see an edited Tweet it’s because we’re testing the edit button [sic],” tweeted Twitter, adding “this is happening and you’ll be okay [sic].”
On its blog, the company said that the feature will allow users to alter their tweets even after they are published.

Users of Twitter Blue, a subscription service presently accessible in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States, will be the first to benefit from the functionality.
Twitter originally mentioned the edit button on April 1st, confirming four days later that testing will begin on Twitter Blue.
On the same day, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is now embroiled in a legal dispute with Twitter over its purchase, launched a poll asking his followers if they wanted an edit button.
